Hands-on Patterns: Learning Through Color and Shapes

After the class discussed the different types of patterns, the teacher showed the students examples of AB (e.g., pink, blue, pink, blue, etc.), ABC (e.g., blue, yellow, red, blue, yellow, red, etc.), and ABB (e.g., white, purple, purple, white, purple, purple, etc.) patterns.

Then, the students went to small group time. They placed beads of various colors onto an art tray and chose a pipe cleaner. The students then created AB, ABC, and ABB patterns on their own. Next, the students will create patterns with various instruments.
