Read A Thon - National Reading Month

First Place Students Love to Read!

On Friday, March 19, 2010, all First Place students will participate in a Read A Thon during the school day. Students will come to school in their pajamas and throughout the day will read books from our school library. They will also be read to in the classroom by guest readers.

Teachers are making a paper tree in the mulitpurpose room and for every book read a leaf will be added to the tree.

You can help foster the love of reading by sponsoring a student or a classroom.

As a sponsor, you can choose to sponsor a classroom, preschool through 6th grade, or a student. First Place will assign you a student if you choose. Each classroom has no more than 14 students.

After you choose how you want to sponsor, you can choose to donate a flat rate for the day, or to sponsor an amount per book read.

Make your pledge by filling out the Sponsor Form (pdf) (Word) and returning it to First Place.
